Open House 2.0

Who knew a year could fly by so fast?

It’s our one year anniversary of being in our beautifully crafted San Francisco office, and while we’ve accomplished a lot, we still have a lot to do. We invited our partners, healthcare friends, and family to celebrate another glorious year improving the lives of teens and young adults and to learn more about the nitty gritty of our individual projects: our work with Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) and the creation of the Goal Mama App, our Cancer Mindshift chatbot Vivibot and Exploring Teen Mental & Emotional Well-Being. Our work with NFP centralizes in helping scale their continued impact through an app developed with our partners at Ayogo called Goal Mama. The app is designed to improve goal setting techniques and practices while maintaining the level of participation in the program. Our cancer chatbot was born out of the desire to get back to our roots with Re-Mission, and create a safe non-judgemental space for teens and young adult cancer survivors to speak with AI technology and build positive psychology skills that boost resilience. Our teen mental and emotional well being project, also known as codename Quokka, is developing how we can reduce loneliness in teens and young adults.

Our second annual open house celebration included a DJ, plenty of cheese plates (a Hopelab signature), and reconnecting with friends and partners. The best part though was getting to celebrate how far we’ve come, while also exploring how far we can’t wait to go. We’ve accomplished plenty, but still, have a long way to go in improving the health and well being of young adults, and couldn’t ask for a better team in the process. Enormous thanks to our partners and our staff, looking forward to the future where we work on our mission to further health knowledge and research in the health and innovation sector.
