Join Hopelab in Austin at SXSW 2018

Join us on March 9 at 3:30 in the Austin Convention Center as our own Fred Dillon, Senior Director of Strategy and Design joins Rebecca Hope, Founder of YLabs and Bhupendra Sheoran, Executive Director of YTH for a discussion on the way technology is changing the way young people make decisions about their sexual health. This is going to be a dynamic discussion, as we’re approaching some provocative questions with three different areas of expertise.

We’ll look at the way young people’s lives are changing, in America and internationally — how online dating sites and mobile dating apps usage is increasing, explore trends on marriage vs cohabitation data, and will examine statistics about first sexual encounters for teenagers. We’re also going to talk a lot about how technology can have a potentially negative effect on sexual relationships, dynamics, and decision making. On the flip side, we’ll take a look at some interventions and mobile apps that do the opposite.
