Purpose Commons
Unlocking youth potential through purpose

Program Overview
Incubated at Hopelab, Purpose Commons bridges the gap between the science of purpose and its practical application. The new organization explores novel applications of purpose science to ensure that young people have the support they need to cultivate their sense of purpose. Cultivating a sense of purpose is critical to realizing every person’s potential and creating a cycle that enhances both individual growth and systemic changes. Purpose Commons was founded in partnership with its sister research organization, Purpose Science and Innovation Exchange (PSiX), housed at Cornell University College of Human Ecology.
Now is the time to reground in the possibilities and potential of young people by recognizing their agency and determination to achieve a better future, supporting the contributions they dream of making, and investing in opportunities for them to thrive. Purpose is at the center of all of this.
