Kaanchi Chopra is an artist and biodesigner working with plant matter and natural fiber. Through textiles and installations, her practice restores attentiveness to our local ecologies. She holds a BFA in Industrial Design and Sustainability from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and has completed art residencies at Mobilier National, Jaipur Rugs and Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto. Guided by the belief that ecological repair begins with emotional reconnection, her work draws on ethnobotanical research to challenge plant blindness. Chopra has foraged, preserved, and documented 120+ plant species, and her work has been exhibited across India, the UAE, Australia, France, Spain, Italy, and the United States.
