Monique Jaquez

Monique comes straight from the forefront of health care, having been on the patient care and advocacy side for years, she leapt at the chance to work with Hopelab. She is eager see how technology and health care will enhance the lives of young people and have lasting generational effects.

She brings to the office her enthusiasm for inclusivity and fun, and is always abounding with ways to create new experiences for the HL staff and its visitors. Her background is vast and varied as she volunteered extensively with neighborhoods that have deep roots in San Francisco. And has been part of grassroots organizations that support and preserve the community and street art of San Francisco.

Her deep love of all things San Francisco is multi-generational, and on any given day you may find her deep in the history room at the SFFPL or in a greenhouse, elbows deep in soil, or baking a vegan, gluten-free paleo cake. Oh, and don’t forget to ask her about flowers, she is also a freelance floral designer!
