Raquel Martin Ph.D.

Dr. Raquel Martin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Professor, Scientist, and Podcast Host at the intersection of mental health and social justice. Her clinical practice focuses on Black mental health, racism-related stress, burnout, and Black identity development. As a professor at Tennessee State University, she teaches courses such as Psychology of the Black Experience and Mental Health, Activism, & Hip Hop Music. Her research focuses on anti-racist and anti-oppressive frameworks, health disparities, and Black identity development. She also hosts a weekly podcast, Mind ya mental, which seeks to educate, empower, and uplift those seeking guidance through the monumental world of mental health.
