Whether it’s navigating healthcare as a gay man or helping my parents through the Medicaid system as non-English speakers, health equity has always been important to me. I’ve seen firsthand the need for inclusive providers.
Violet has developed a Health Equity Toolkit, a primer for healthcare organizations interested in taking the first step toward investing in health equity. The resource was co-developed with queer, BIPOC, and/or people with disabilities, helping to ensure that their healthcare journeys influence equity practices across organizations. Violet was founded in 2020 to identify and increase the number of clinicians providing culturally competent care. The credentialing and upskilling platform aims to tackle health disparities, objectively benchmark providers across the industry, and unlock inclusivity within care delivery systems for patients of culturally diverse communities. Hopelab invested in Violet in June 2022.
